After suffering a massive heart attack, being brought back twice by an AED Defibrillator and being in a coma, Chaplain Darren Crutchfield by the grace of God is on the mend. Within the last 24 hours has begun speaking and with the help of a walker is walking again. Please continue to pray for this Christian Warrior. He’s needed back sharing the love of Jesus with our first responders, victims of critical incidents and our community.
That was the reality for Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Cheyane Caldwell when a 2007 call to respond to a burning building nearly claimed his life. See full story by clicking the above link.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money to help with Chaplain Darren Crutchfield’s medical expenses. Dana Crutchfield (Darren’s Brother) is also writing a blog on that page updating Darren’s status. Go to this link for more information or to donate: https://gofund.me/7ed778be
Remembering those who lost their lives and those who lost friends, family members and coworkers in the terrorist attack that occurred on September 11, 2001. We also remember those first responders; Police, Fire, and EMS that ran to the danger and sacrificed themselves so others might live. May God bless America.
The annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast sponsored by the North Central Washington Chaplain Foundation was held at Grace City Church in Wenatchee on May 12, 2021. The event included a short presentation by Grace City Church Pastor Josh McPhearson (by Video) welcoming the first responders. Also participating in the event was the End of Watch organization, the Behind the Badge organization, keynote speaker Amy Gross, and vocalist Chris Ward. 2 Chefs catering served up a delicious breakfast for the attendees. The breakfast ended with a prize raffle and a group picture. First responders from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Chelan County Fire, Washington State Patrol, Wenatchee and East Wenatchee Police Departments, RiverCom, and Ballard Ambulance were in attendance. A special thank you to Abundant Life Chiropractic for their financial assistance that made this possible!
