Chaplains Attend The Open House at Douglas County Fire District #2

North Central Washington Chaplain Foundation (NCWCF) chaplains attended an open-house at Douglas County Fire District #2 Station on October 1st, in East Wenatchee. The NCWCF had an information table at the open-house in which they told visitors to the event about the chaplaincy ministry which serves first responders. Douglas County Fire District #2 is now part of the Wenatchee Valley Fire Department which serves the Wenatchee Valley.

GladSong performs inspirational songs during fund raiser event

The North Central Washington Chaplain Foundation and the Chelan County Regional Jail Chaplaincy held a joint fund raiser at Grace City Church in Wenatchee on August 7, 2022. Inspirational music was provided by GladSong musical group. The chaplaincy’s divided the donations received and the money will go to funding the chaplain’s programs. Also, the North Central Washington Chaplain Foundation received a $1500 donation from the ‘Guns & Hoses’ (a police and fire department charity). This money will be used to send chaplains to the Washington State Police Chaplain’s Academy.


Everett Police Officer Dan Rocha Shot and Killed

On March 25, 2022 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Officer Dan Rocha was shot and killed by a suspect at a local Starbucks coffee shop. This was the same day Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputy Calata, who was murdered in the line of duty last week was being laid to rest. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Rocha’s family, friends, and fellow officers at this time. God bless you all.

Former Alexandria Police Officer says she owes her life to a Lyft Driver, 71, who was just murdered by a 17 year old

A former Alexandria police officer is paying tribute to a slain Lyft driver, Abdul Rauf Khan, who had saved her from a brutal attack in 2017. Abdul was recently murdered by a 17 year old, as he worked his job as a Rideshare driver. Click the above link for the complete story.
